MiguelRVA376yIt's depends on what you need, if you only want Linux to test software on is faster using a VM, on the other hand if you want to work on Linux is better install it. MacOS and the Linux Distro have some things in common so it ends in what you prefer to use if you want the possibility to develop and test stuff for iOS or MacOS use MacOS, if you don't want to work with that and don't have the need to well you can use any Linux Distro. Hope it helps you 👍

teddybear136y@MiguelRVA yea, thanks! I generally write in NodeJS and python with some dev ops. I was just curious if it would be good to have a Linux install on my machine. I know that some people have Mac/Windows with boot camp. I am not sure what the purpose is.. any ideas?

teddybear136y@error503, I was just curious what some people do... I guess Mac/windows is more likely

MiguelRVA376y@teddybear yeah I use to have Windows on my MacBook just because I use to play some games (Wintendo you now... 🤣) Other than that I always work or do my other stuff other than games on MacOS or Linux. Now I'm looking for a good gaming machine to install Linux for work and have the Wintendo side.

teddybear136y@miguelRVA, completely understand. I have a gaming machine. It works like a charm. Love it. Just upgraded to a 1070 recently. It runs every game fairly well.

teddybear136y@badcompany, I guess I will be installing Linux with boot camp... I have Mojave installed and I cannot do the simple things... ie: install virtual box
