Got a holiday job at a local IT company and I therefore have to go by train everyday 2 hours in total.

Enough time to browse Devrant and to realize what of a great community it has. Thanks for being a part of it!

Fuck and I complained about having to drive half an hour one way to highschool everyday.

I'm glad I didn't have to do that with uni.

@Stuxnet Then you are quite lucky. Usually you would expect a longer way to university than to high school.

@F9lke It'd be about an hour and a half one way for uni. Sometimes more.

But considering most people drove about 10 minutes for high school, it was a pain in the ass for me.

You spend 4 (FOUR!!!) hours of your life daily to get to/from them and you call the company 'local'? Something is wrong then...

@arazzz "2 hours in total" aka one hour there, one hour back.

    That's local in my book.

@arazzz I said 2 hours IN TOTAL. One to get there and one to get back home. ^^

@Stuxnet We are in sync :)

For me it's the same. I am a developer and travel 2 hours in total everyday so I open devRant every time 🙂 I agree that it's a great community. I downloaded devRant some months ago but it's only 2 days ago I became a member.

@achintyakumar That sounds great, I wish my university and my work would be so near. I have to wake up 2 - 2.5 hours before I start.

I have a 4h15m total daily commute, and I join in this too. But i'm more grateful for my Nintendo switch

@W4R10CK @Snatched Oh I got one too since a few days. What games can you recommend?
  • 2
@Snatched I miss the days of the PSP and PS Vita :(

@F9lke Besides the obvious Zelda, Mario, Splatoon and Donkey Kong, I can recommend a ton of indies like Celeste, Hollow Knight, Shovel Knight, A Robot named Fight, Blossom Tales. Octopath is also said to be pretty good.

I currently play Crash Bandicoot on it.

@F9lke Sorry, kinda missed out on your reply. Zelda BotW and Super Mario Odissey are a must play. I find great joy in playing indie games because I find they fit the handheld mode really well (stardew valley, hollow knight, shovel knight, enter the gungeon..) I have these on Steam as well but I did not regret buying them again as I broke the playtime easily. I'm thinking to get Octopath Traveler and I'm currently playing the remastered trilogy of Crash Bandicoot.

@achintyakumar well, I have most of the chunk by a single train, but about 40 mins one way are by metro and I have to change between two lines. At some point. I'm planning to move with my GF, what helds me back is that Italy is not a high paying area but renting costs in Milan are absurd (especially compared to the average buying power). We can afford it together with enough margin to live and even save, but I want to build up some savings beforehand for eventual rough times.

1 hour commute for me... I spend it for devrant, games, hobby projects and sometimes Netflix..
