I wonder when people will realize we wear headphones because we don't want to talk to them.

Having headphones on sure doesn't stop some asshat from trying to talk to me

    @andros705 100% accurate and when do you do it, your seniors or boss will want you to document how you did it.

    I do like conversations in the train but even when wearing it half (one of the cups covering an ear) nobody starts a conversation... When I take them off completely i get questions and have conversations quite regularly.

    @Codex404 I have nothing against small talk at all.

    But sometimes I just need to be alone, as I have a lot going on in my mind.

    It doesn't happen a lot, but it does happen. I'll be in the library working on coding some homework and actually get asked to be tech support. I need to start studying in the CS/IT/IS building instead lol

    @Stuxnet hmm cant relate :)

    @Codex404 It's even worse when the actual tech support is on the other side of the building.

    For fuck sake get up and ask them

    @Stuxnet how do strangers know that you are techy?

    @Codex404 I was doing CS class homework lol.

    They were sitting behind me and I guess they saw my screen (kinda creepy... Mental note to lower screen brightness some.)

    I thought these things were some pretty stereotypical bullshit that didn't actually happen, but boy was I wrong.

    Fuck headphones.

    Headphones to guard focus are a defeatist measure. It's my working space too, I should not have to hide behind music.

    Coworkers need to have some social skills.

    Concentrated stare at display = don't fucking talk to me, send me a message for an appointment.
