So, what language should I pick, to start my own programming language?

Or... like how does that work. Say, if you ever wanted to to it. Out of curiousity.

    Something lowish level and fast. C++ is a good choice.

    Basically any language will do, though the most common ones are C and C++ (and it's even more common to implement a compiler for a language in that same language aka bootstrapping)
