anyone else having issues updating devRant on iOS?

Unfortunately Apple is having some server issues and the download has been having some availability issues. If you keep trying you should be able to get it. You might have to force close the App Store and re-open.

@dfox I've forced restarted my phone at least 3 times and it still isn't updating 😕 the devRant app even had the blue dot next to it but it never even updated

@complxalgorithm yeah, they are definitely having issues :/ it took be a bunch of tried to be able to update. It might just be a matter of time, I'll try to contact them again but they were not helpful last time.

@dfox it seems like they're only good at customer service with things that you buy off of them...

@complxalgorithm yup! In this case they literally told me to "wait 24 hours." Even though I told them the app download/update was broken and the store listing was fucked up. It's at least becoming downloadable for some iOS users.

Please let me know when/if it starts working.

@dfox it's not only the download, I've also been trying to upload an app the whole fucking day and got the same fucking stupid 24 hours answer. Spastic fucktards.

@dfox it's weird though because the three other apps I had to update updated immediately 🙃

@pepo900 good to know we're not alone. They are definitely having server issues - specifically for static assets like uploads (apps, images) is my guess.

@complxalgorithm I had some apps update too, but I've talked to other people who said none of their apps would update. Could be based on what servers certain app downloads are being served from.

I just called Apple support again. They said they are actively working on fixing the issue and they are aware of the problems and have gotten a number of reports by now.

I had some issues updating a few of my other apps yesterday, if that is useful info at all.

@dfox it updated! but for some reason devRant's still in the updates section on the app store. it doesn't make sense but I'm not complaining! just gotta wait for Reddit to update now lmao
