I just got my first full time job as a junior front end developer just because they didn't have any other option (I was last on their list).

Should I be happy or sad about it?

Both. At least you got the Job to happy about and you weren't the first choice to sad about. Keep learning.

If you like the job you should be very happy. Interviews are a lottery, so just be happy you won and do great things.

It's your chance to learn and become the first on the next list

    You should be happy.

Look at it this way, because you were last on their list, they don't have the highest expectations for you. So you can use this job for experimenting, trying out different things, without worrying that you don't meet their expectations. Then all those things you learn from that, you can take with you to the next job, and maybe get to the top of the list easily

@Bitwise exactly! Every role you take should not only pay the bills, but also help you grow as a developer. Unless things are dire, don't take any job that won't help you personally improve.

Be happy and try to make the most out of it. Learn, then move on. Good luck!

Take it as an oportunity. An oportunity to learn and grow. And at worst, you get paid, while adding some years of expirience to your cv...

    So win fir you...

It looks like they aren't the only ones who were out of options, but so were you. You know, when will and necessity meet, that's freedom.
