Can we have a rehabilitation duck corner? For those times where you are stressed you can bathe in ducks!

Well although this may seem weird if you fell like you want some mates to join in don't hesitate to ask, some might be like me, coding for fun and wanting to code together with others and would end up joining you, Also if you're in need of help i have some experience managing a small office due to a previous boss being unable to handle the stuff so i could, whenever i have some spare time, help you out, just in case you feel a need for help.

@theKarlisK all of the physical thing like table, PC, rubber ducks is done. currently i am struggling to setting up my server. it is running localy hosting a samba server. but not more. i want it to host git, serve a docker and etc. i am a single man company so i have to do by my self. this gonna take a long time :( 😅😥

if i'm not wrong. a lot of people recommend proxmox to me, i think including @Condor i think i will try it. just asking, is that all really needed? i mean since server is only hosting a ftp, http, samba, and git to 5 people max.

anyway. thanks for the advice! Noted.

Proxmox is an amazing distribution, its use of ZFS (meaning that the virtual hard drives of your VM's are block devices of their own) and ease of setup with a simple GUI got me sold.. also, containers! For anything that can be reasonably trusted, an unprivileged container (SJW: UNPRIVILEGED?! 😡.. sorry, couldn't resist 😛) offers quite some flexibility along with greatly reduced RAM consumption (30MB for an Arch Linux LXC etc).. so yeah. Proxmox all the way here 😁

@theKarlisK Snapshots in Proxmox are easy to make, but I've never had the need to restore one.. or rather, I did it once if memory serves me right.. and yeah the VM just restored to the state that it was in earlier, even kept everything running etc so minimal downtime. I think it just overlaid the snapshot on top of the running system. They're quite small too, so probably it's doing some kind of delta compression, similar to Git.
