What is up with red indicators?

In America at the moment, and while they’re probably used in many countries this is the first time I’ve come across them.

Having indicators that are the same colour as your brake lights is super dumb

Like the light used for signalling you're turning?

Lmao nobody uses those in the first place.

@Stuxnet true, seems a lot of people on the I-89 (I think) rely on using their psychic powers to let other drivers know what they’re doing.

    Hey, I'm driving here

Matter of fact, these are banned in Germany. You need to have a pair of yellow ones on the front end back and I _think_ they are required on the mirrors for factory new cars

Oh my god, finally someone who doesn't like them too.

It just doesn't feel like a normal indicator 🙅🏻‍♀️

@FrodoSwaggins possibly but the mustang that was on negroni of me this afternoon certainly had indicators that were the same colour as it’s break lights

Some cars blink the brake lights (or a portion thereof) for turn signals. It's kinda dumb.

Related: I get inordinately angry when people don't signal.

@FrodoSwaggins As far I know, it depends on the state where the car is registered if a car has to have red or yellow/orange turning lights.

@xzvf in Germany doesn't exclude the rest of the EU :P
I wasn't sure, don't want to spread bullshit
