Wife had a dream last night that I cheated on her and we got divorced. She woke up mad at me. It’s now 12 hours later and I just picked her up from work... she’s still mad at me.

Ah yes the "you cheated in my mind so I'm mad at you" idea. It's fucked up when it happens to you but when it happens to somebody else you laugh cause you know you have been there before and most likely will be there again.

Don't know if this will work for you but when this happens i act mad back saying "I'm mad at you cause you think i cheated on you". Takes a few hours but they will drop the shit but YMMV

I always say "I'm so hypothetically mad at you right now." It's funny and lets me express anger/frustration at the dream without subjecting them to it.

I don't understand people who like actually get mad at others over fantasy. That's stupid.

OK, so I tried saying I was annoyed at her for dreaming I’d do such a thing and she said, “She was only about 16 or 17 years old!”

Maybe she'll see how ridiculous she's being. Or maybe she's unable to and will just get offended. But that's her problem.

But then she wouldn't. And id probably get my ass kicked the next day but she d think twice before doing it again.
