The Google Messaging app update is like forcing people to switch to the dark side. I mean before there wasn't evenvan option? But now I'm actually looking for/want one... And it's there...

The colors before the update were nice solid, not this girly (no offense) light color.

Never heard of that app. Only a dozen other chat apps by Google.

@electrineer it's a replacement of the stock text messaging app included in all Android phones. Sightly better features... like being able to copy those verification codes from messages

    Dark mode...

Actually I prefer the dark but not ultra dark theme for devRant... This looks ultra dark...

    I don't text many people.

But the people I do frequently text, I'm forcing them to take a picture with me to set as the contact picture. (It'd feel weird to have one of just them lol.)

Gotta escape this shitfest until they allow the feature to change the colors.

Honestly I'd switch to this app in a heartbeat but if I do, then Hangouts no longer works on the PC to be able to both text and answer phone calls. I hate the Hangouts app (it's really bad), but being able to answer the phone on the computer is just too valuable for me to ditch it.

@duckWit I was fixing to say the web version of sending messages exist, but nevermind you need to answer phone calls as well lol

I thought it'd be really cool and help a lot, but then I realized I'm a loner and I don't text anyone, so it's pretty useless to me lol

@Stuxnet I was super excited when I saw they finally came out with a web version like WhatsApp. Then the excitement came crashing down when I learned it only worked with texting. Oh well, Hangouts for me for a while longer then.

@billgates That dark theme is not dark. True dark is full black! #000!!! Nice theme though. Looks like at least the dark theme designers at Google didn't take some fancy drugs or got their inspiration from a 13 year old girl :')
