@liverreich, @620hun
Agreed, it's worth a try... but that's almost a guaranteed hour on the phone with those that I hate..
@letmecode
I agree it's a huge crock of shit and probably was the demise of my Hotmail account.. I can only assume it was 'hacked' and someone replaced the security questions.. (I use that account for shady things I don't want to give my actual email too) -
nmunro31888y@Letmecode Unless you lie.
"Where did you and your spouse meet?"
"Gotham city"
And if you make a habit of having specific answers it becomes easier to remember. -
remka1128yThat's a bit how I lost my hotmail address : the account was so old that it didn't have any security question at the time I created it. But they asked for one anyway...
When I lost the password, I lost the account for good. -
nmunro31888y@Letmecode No, that's not what I meant. What I meant was getting into the habit of remembering to lie in the answers. Obviously don't use the same password and don't use the same question. Just don't take the security questions on face value. If you've trained yourself to remember that none of the questions are being literal it makes social engineering much harder.

tommy15Right now someone at Google is coding something useless for us to laugh at on April Fools.
tldr: Fuck Apple AND Microsoft...
Tried to check my "me" email today (iCloud)... and well it's apparently "locked" for god only knows what reason, and they will only let me recover it through a Hotmail account that I haven't used in >10years.. So I tried that and after one login attempt outlook.com is telling me "you've entered too many wrong password attempts, you must reset your password"... ugh OK, so I hit the button and it's asking me "my" security question.. 'where did you and your spouse meet?'.. wtf? I'm not married now nor was I @12yrs old when I made this account....
Well thanks so I guess that's fucked for forever...
