    Wrong question.

    How much do you get?

Most the time I don't get what I earn.

🤔 Make this sense in English? 🤔

    Yes.

    Yes.

@JackToolsNet I think you are looking for the difference between "deserve" and "earn", which is both "verdienen" in German ;-) So you don't earn what you deserve. It's funnier in German.

I've never had more than 20€ on my PayPal account, but this month I've earned 100€ and I'm really happy (I'm 16 so it's a lot for me, and I can use them as I wish 😊)

In full time I was on 18k-35k over the course of about 5 years of steady progression.

Nowadays I work remote as a contractor and I manage between £200-£300 p/d, but the work from home coupled with my lazy nature often means I don’t work as much as I probably should, and certainly not as much as I could...

Still, working through my own company means I get a comfortable amount personally and professionally for buying things like computers and the such.

I’m satisfied now, but that’s more the environment I’m in - coupled with being financially comfortable atm.

I’ve certainly not been satisfied in the past, especially on leaving a company finding out the new guy was on nearly 20k more than I was, he was just as shocked!

I'm at about $150k/y, but I'm old. When I was 22 I was making $14/h doing tier one support on the night shift. I've worked my way up from there.

75% of the low end for full-stack Rails devs in my city.
I'm not a low-end dev, so that's irritating. It does allow me to work remotely, however. But I'm still looking for a new job to see if I can find something comparable.

@bahua I would love to earn half of it in BRL (1 USD = 4 BRL) and I am 36 y.o...

    @brunofontes

I fully acknowledge the right-place-at-the-right-time nature of a lot of the opportunities I've had, but I still think that what's helped me advance more than anything else is actually loving what I do. I work in front of a computer all day, and then after my wife and son go to bed, I'm back on the computer until I go to bed.

@bahua that is what motivates me to work as a Dev. Localization project management is cool, but not comparable with Dev.

And yes, I work the entire day in front of my computer. When my wife and daughter go to sleep, I go back to there to develop and study. 😃 I know that feeling.

Anyway, I am happy you could get where you are. I hope things get only better for you, @bahua. 😃
