@sleepyDevHead Exactly.
These are people who specialize in sales, not knowing every programming language ever.
Don't get me wrong, when you're in the sales for tech companies, you probably should know some things. But still. That's not their forte, so I don't really see the need in giving them a lot of shit over it.
I mean, I wouldn't want them giving me a lot of shit if they have to break down marketing shit for me, since that's not my forte. -
@Matthewb I figured most rational and mature individuals kinda get this concept that the marketing people shouldn't have to be experts in our technology lol

@Stuxnet i just like to get fake mad, wont lie, have gotten fake mad in person at people who dont have any knowledge even remotely close to a tech sales associate

Can't be as great as our Sales team. They'll say anything to get the sale. "Oh sure, this application can blow your nose for you and give you a massage while you sleep!"
"THIS APPLICATION DOESN'T BLOW MY NOSE FOR ME AND I WAS TOLD BY YOUR SALES TEAM THAT IT WOULD!!!!"
*sales team is already thousands of miles away in the Bahamas with their juicy commission checks* -
Okay, okay....
So maybe you're not that technically inclined, you make this mistake in front a dev once, they explain that's it's two different things, and you never say dumb shit like this.
Or, now after it's been explained, you do say dumb shit like this, then our deserve to be purged from the gene pool
Overheard from a sales call (involving web templates):
"Sometimes I really don't get our devs. They come up with all these ridiculous meaningless acronyms for everything, and yet they go mental if you dare shorten Javascript to Java."
