I don't want to offend anyone here, but in the last few days I just rage-quitted the devRant app....

Why the FUCK are there so fucking many bad memes on devRant?! FUCKING ANNOYING MEMES THAT DON'T EVEN HAVE TO DO ANYTHING WITH FUCKIN COMPUTERS'N SHIT!

I love that we are getting new members but why the fuck are they posting shit?! (Can't show image here, downvoted so I won't see them)

If you have any examples of the things that I mean, please share them here...

I loooveee to browse in recent and without filter's... But please stop the bad-meme-madness

    @SteffTek ;). Problem is that humor is diverse. We do not laugh at the same things.

    But I do agree that there have been a bit to much, I prefer stories and the occasional, preferably matching something current.

    Joke/meme became sad and depressing a while ago. Filter it out and stick to recent. Granted you’ll miss the occasional actual joke, but it’s worth it.

    i figured out i am an old man. there are many youngsters here recently that post memes i read years ago. it´s getting harder every day not to yell at them and just scroll on trying not to be an asshole unneccessarily.

    Analogy time.

    The usual ho you visited was pretty fun and cool. So you keep visiting.

    Then she somehow caught a STD and informed you she got STD.

    You keep visiting.

    Result ? You got STD.

    And shit is reposted over and over, and STILL gets fucking upvotes even if it's reposted within days or just hours.

    The problem is that the newest entries are shown first so that by the time people understand shit has been a repost, they have already upvoted and reacted to that.

    To circumvent this, you would have to click on "older" entries until you get to the last one you already have seen, then go backwards to the newest ones. But that's a silly workflow that nobody is doing, and it certainly won't fly if you are off for a week.

    @theKarlisK i know, thank you, but it is only recently it gets annoying for me as well. i did not have any issues seeing memes and one or another repost until now.

    And then there's always to downvote them as "Repost", in case you don't filter them.
    Some days I think there should be some rules concerning the categories.

    @irene I would also like to see "Irrelevant/Off-subject" as downvoting option too. 😉
