Ikr, competitive in accordance to WHAT, for WHO's benefit?

@xewl they won't answer that. They're just looking for devs to exploit.

What does "competitive salary" even mean? What it competes with?

@irene Basic human rights, probably 🤓

Yes!! So frustrating, everyone has different ideas of what a decent salary for a role is. Would help everyone if they actually put a number to it

    Competitive salary based on experience.
And requirements are dev must have written an app on Pluto, tested on the sun for ensuring it's unbreakable and deployed from Mars cuz internet is faster there

@irene Last time i wasted time going to an interview through a recruiter i found out that "competetive salary" seems to mean: ~60% of what you are currently making and "cutting edge technology" means .Net 3.5

Competitive means under-paid. Simple as that.

@Intronout so you have to compete with others to take a part of their salary for yourself. 🤔 Sounds reasonable 😁
  • 2
@irene yes. It works the other way as well: if a company has competitive prices, they are cheap compared to others. So... 😉
  • 2
@Intronout cheap like competitive near the road hoes? 🤔 😁
  • 1
@Jmann lol! That was my idea
  • 2
@irene they'll probably say the same when asked about their income 😆

@gitpush stop making up things! The internet is faster on Venus because it's closer to the Sun!
