Servers on standby mode? Haven't heard of this in a long time...

@PonySlaystation I got an old desktop from a client. Threw some shit out (gpu enz) and I'm currently using it as a nas but I don't really trust the power supply to stay on 24/7 :P

Pretty sure more harmful stress can be put on the system by constantly power cycling it, specifically, the spin-up/down of disks and fans. I would put a lot more faith into PSUs, but I also dont know everything about your system.
