you should really try to read some documentation before asking your tl for help ... ( i know ... i know ... sound a little stack overflow-ee)
-
@duetopain thank you for your response. It is not asking for a help, it is just a way to start smalltalk, to see what's going on here, to rant a bit with passerby, you know :) So it is like Twitter, but with ratings and with cool avatars?
-
@SavageRandy it's for making jokes that only people that you think are like you will get. it's for letting out steam about issues that you can't talk to your friends (non techies) or parents about ... it's for doing whatever you need to do to get ++, cause you really need "THAT" one more Tshirt in your collection or "THAT" color desk or whatever in your avatar ...
-
@duetopain now I get it, thanks :) Especially that part about T-shirts - I also posted that question mostly to get ++ to be that cool avatar

Welcome! The only rule of devRant is that if you use Arch Linux you’re not allowed to tell anyone and have to say you use Windows 10 instead.

Condor323326y@joycestick BLASPHEMY!!!
I use fucking Arch Linux, and I'm fucking proud of it!!!
Also @Haxk20
Anyway.. well it's ranting, letting some steam off about dev issues, and overall just socializing in an environment that's pretty much exclusively developers and other kinds of technical people. Pretty much what you'd rant about on Twitter, minus the replies from nontechnical users. In other words, a developer's heaven <3 -
Honeslty, nowadays it feels like devRant is a place for Linux fanatics to come and rave about linux.
But hey, welcome to devRant... glad to have you on board
I am completely new at Devrant. What's it all about?
