Can you guys list some of your favorite recipes in the comments?

Trying to find new food to cook, because I'm tired of making the same like 7 meals and that's it lol

If it doesn't have a meat, it's probably not for me, btw. But I will be open to trying things

Did you try to cook indian food?

    Base recipe:
    1 large onion chopped
    2 garlic cloves pressed
optional: 1/2 inch of fresh ginger
    1 tomato chopped
    lots of butter
1.5 large spoon of garam masala
    some chili powder (degi mirch)
    1/2 spoon of cardamom
    1/2 spoon of cinamon
    salt

let this simmer in a pan, if it's getting to gooey/thick add some small amount of water.

add 3-5 spoons of Greek Yogurt

    ----

Add whatever you like. Popular additions are potato dices with ladyfingers/okra and chicken meat. serve it with basmati rice and if you can get it some naan (flat bread).

@heyheni I'm not a huge fan of Indian food, tbh. It doesn't usually sit well with my stomach, and most of the time makes me sick.

Dumplings, use meat as a filling of different vegetables like peppers, potatoes, flour dough ( pierogi )

Mexican food is full of meat like tacos, burritos, different tortas.

Thai some curry red, green curry with coconut and chicken.

Itallian different pasta carbonara, bolonese with different meat or risotto, pizza.

Cooking is awesome just watch Jamie Oliver on youtube and you would be instant hungry 😋

@vane I watched some Gordon Ramsey videos lol

I was gonna sear some some steaks, but my apartment would hate that lol (the smoke detectors are sensitive as fuck. Like I took one down and hid it so it'd stop going off Everytime I cooked.

As for Mexican food, I cook "tacos" a lot. I wanna figure out how to make a quesadilla or ACP (chicken).

I'm getting a slow cooker tomorrow, more than likely. It's also funny, my Christmas list for what few presents I want is like pots, pans, and a deep fryer. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

    Thanks for the suggestions though!

@Stuxnet cool and don’t get me started with oven dishes like casserole, beer can chicken, shashlik, all kinds of rollade. You can even cook steak in oven. The plus is that there is not much smoke when you do it.

@vane I got a George Forman to cook my steaks on lol

But I'm not a huge casserole guy. I've tried a lot but most just don't hit the spot. As for chicken, I prefer to fry it most of the time.

I am going to make teriyaki chicken and noodles one day next week. And BBQ soon. Now that winter is coming up, soup and chilli beans.

The main problem with a lot of what I plan to cook is it makes enough for a family of 4, but I fly solo. Just gotta figure out proportions

@Stuxnet I understand You, having same problem when I cook. I need to eat damn thing for 3 days in a row, cause I don’t like to throw away food.

    Winter is coming here too.

Soups like chicken soup, tomato soup, bean, cucumber, cabbage are specialties here in Poland.
W eat lots of meat and potatoes. Schabowy is quite simple it’s like schnitzel. Also try some goulash.

Those are shashlik from my place, you just stick whatever you want and put it on oven for some time, they’re great, like kebabs.

Fuck I love food so much.

    @vane That looks delicious!

I prefer a vegetable soup with like half a pound of hamburger meat. But I've had a delicious fish and potato soup.

I'm thinking about trying to see if there's a good way to make soup using deer meat. My grandpa probably knows something lol

And I love meats and potatoes, rather it be fries (aka 90% of the time) or baked.

And same man. I love food, and now that I'm flying solo I love to cook.

I wish I could have a full sized grill at my apartment because it's my favorite way to cook, but the electric one works too I guess.

@Stuxnet yeah grill rocks, like bbq ribs or hamburgers, bbq pit boys.
Can’t have it here since I am living in apartment building. My neighbors would kill me or call fire department if I start fire on balcony 😂

Nice to see that despite we all live in different places, sometimes thousands of kilometers/ miles away we are only people so got similar problems.
    Enjoy your food :)

@vane Yea I'm in an apartment as well. We're allowed to have grills, but we have to be like 20 feet away from a building, so it's really inconvenient.

The complex put some of these out for us to use, but I prefer gas over charcoal, so it's useless for me.

I've been looking up a lot of recipes and saving them for the coming days. I'll let ya know if I make something really good lol
