TIL if a free fonts website ever asks you to register to download, you can just search GitHub for that file/font name, somebody most likely committed it before.

@rEaL-jAsE can't download from there though, because they got some Google mumbo jumbo iirc

@rEaL-jAsE I mean you can't extract e.g. a ttf or otf file to offline embed it, I use it for websites too, but can't when I need it offline :)

@JoshBent you can do it. it just needs a bit of work.
1. select the font
2. open the url you get
3. select the favourite format.

@stop @rEaL-jAsE last time I checked was ages ago tbh, seems like most of the fonts are in woff2 format, which can be embedded, haven't tried to download it specifically and embed yet, but should work, today I learned two things I guess 😉

Alternatively you can try using bugmenot :)

@zankar haven't used bugmenot for near a decade, ever since they basically went to shit with fake accounts, 99% dead entries etc.

@JoshBent add the font then click on the black bar that appears and they're should be download available. I can't check it right now but I definitely was downloading these two weeks ago
