Hmmm yeah that's not a lot when travelling. I have heard good things about moving to philippines/vietnam and other poorer asian countries. What's your work experience because I'm assuming you're nearing 10 years, and that's less than I was making in africa. I think that's equivalent to about 4 years experience there - so yeah, would definitely say to find a place with some better pay
