How you fix a noisy ultrabook?
My ears are bleeding now because of this fucker's unstoppable fan.

    What laptop is it?

    I have an external fan I plug into mine and it sits under the laptop. And sometimes I'll stack pennies on it to serve as a heat sink

    @jibberdev919 did that, pulled out on exactly 60th second, the ultrabook died.

    Is it the dell Ultrabooks? Just get a fan controller, they turn their fans up to max every other second without reason.

    There used to be a windows update that caused the laptop to set the fan to max, constantly, without any reason. Sure it wasn't that?

    @hasu my machine is running windows 8.1 tho, and yes there were a lot of updates months ago, so that might be a problem as well.

    @faptain i had that at some point and it's fixable but I unfortunately forgot how. But I'm sure you'll find a solution online. Good luck!

    @Nanos thought of using a nuclear cooling tower but your ideas are way "cooler".
