Been looking into my health issues. Seems I might have liver toxicity or some shit caused by a medication I take. Was looking at what liver toxicity would appear as in symptoms. I think I have a few of those. So I will be getting with my doctor about this. On one page it said acetaminophen could cause liver toxicity as well. I don't take that, but the: "When to see a doctor" had interesting criteria:

- Loss of appetite.
- Nausea and vomiting.
- Pain in the upper stomach area.
- Coma.

The first 3 seem reasonable, but the "Coma" symptom is sketchy AF. Like who is going to see their doctor about a coma? lol /s (in case it isn't obvious, for the autists)

Liver toxicity is easy to test for, just a simple blood draw I believe. Go to your doc if you’re throwing up for no reason!

Yellowing of the skin is another big one I think, I know some liver issues have that as a symptom. A tag says you’re feeling dead all day, which is a concern but fatigue can be from a ton of other conditions
  • 1
And yeah if you can’t keep food in that’s not good news
  • 4
I have all these and also yellowing

and my liver tests came back sus as shit (I got to find out only later when I got access to the tests)

but the doctors say I'm healthy =]

    yay competence

@AlgoRythm already had the test. Had elevated stuff of some kind. I am abstaining from acetaminophen and alcohol before we test again. Started looking into the effects of liver problems. Finding a laundry list of things I have been experiencing and thought it was just food related. I didn't realize, but these symptoms have been creeping up on me for months. It has started to fuck with my life and I didn't realize this until now.

The mental health shit down in the page is shit I have been noticing for a few months. It has crept up on me and is causing me problems. These problems are why I am taking a closer look. I don't have yellowing of skin, which is interesting. Mostly mental stuff like fatigue, sleep issues, harder to concentrate, memory issues. I don't know when it started, but I thought it was age related. This might have been going on for years since I have been taking a medication that can cause this for years. Back when I deleted my old devrant account I was experiencing anger issues and being tired of everyone's shit. I think it might be related.

@TeachMeCode last few months I have not wanted to eat much.

Just to be clear. The medication I am taking that might be causing this is NOT tylennol. My medication can cause liver problems in like 30% of patients. There is a loose tie to weight gain related to liver issues. I have also had problems losing any weight despite diet and lifestyle changes.

@YourMom not a Dr but a lot of that like brain fog appetite loss and being agitated could have a bunch of other causes but the real game changer is your liver levels so yeah I’m willing to bet most/all that is from liver. Hopefully there’s alternatives without that acetaminophen added

@TeachMeCode yeah, my doctor and I are going to have a very different conversation now.

Mind boggling how lucid I am right now. What started me down this line of thinking was taking 1 St Johns Wort this morning (after not taking for over a decade). Within hours of taking it my mind function shot up. I was like wtf is happening. This should take weeks. I find out wort can cause the liver to expel toxins. I also found out my medication works on the liver somehow. So I was like oh shit! Come to find out wort increases toxin processing. Which may reduce efficacy of my med. This got me looking at my med. Apparently it can toxify the liver. Oh fuck. What happens when you toxify the liver? All sorts of shit apparently. Including a lot of shit I have apparently noticed and ignored for months/years.

Time to get doc involved. But the fact that I am more lucid that I have been in months is wild. I hope its not some other fucked up thing happening. lol

@YourMom you do seem to be acting a bit different now

COVID vaccine, 90% of it is deposited into liver. it's possible simply all I have is liver damage from it

I can't drink alcohol in the least now. I get really bad inflammation in a couple organs swell. I tried half a beer at new years. so sad goddamnit

and I got basically dementia. that's been my symptom. can't eat food if it has the smallest amount of toxins (which liver should process out), and have to keep taking vitamins that the liver commonly should store a lot of otherwise I get symptoms

what pisses me off is I was extremely healthy before this. whole reason why doctors ignore me is because I should be peak health for my age and my lifestyle is very healthy and I look young on top of it. I hate people. they ruined my life and now they get to gaslight me about it lol

and then sometimes I meet people who give me shit for not liking humans. but this is some nazi-level shit that was done to me lol

    @YourMom oh what the fuck

I tried St John's wort and it made me feel soooo normal

I didn't know that about it expelling liver toxins wtf

I got sick actually when I tried milk thistle tea. I thought maybe it was because I stopped drinking green tea but maybe I started some kind of liver detox and then it hit my body like a truck or something

@YourMom good to hear the worts doing its job and yeah throw that acetaminophen stuff in the garbage if you don’t need it to live
  • 1
@TeachMeCode its risperidone that is what I am taking. I just thought the coma stuff with acetaminophen was hilarious.
  • 1
@jestdotty okay, so I am so high I think I might be manic. Not sure what that feels like though, other than trouble sleeping. What concerns me now is if wort is dumping liver toxins it might be dumping risperidone and that is what is causing the increased mood. So calling doctor tomorrow and hopefully I am not overdosing on pent up risperidone in my liver.

I am also concerned that I may be manic enough to make it even harder to sleep. Plus if the risperidones efficacy goes down I might start withdrawing from it. I worked with a medication expert a while back and we started switching to some other shit. I started going through withdrawals of risperidone. I had stuff going on at the time and didn't want to disrupt my shit at the time. So I stayed on risperidone. So gonna see if I can be seen in a couple of days.

My friend I talked with yesterday said to try wort again. I called him and told him what was happening. He said I was night and day different today.

Holy fuck, I feel like I could run a mile. I wonder if I will get the munchies.
  • 1
@YourMom well if he sees it, it’s definitely doing some thing
  • 2
@YourMom feeling like you wanna run a mile after not wanting to walk to your car with the mental boost and appetite boost sounds like your brain is unleashing a torrential downpour of dopamine, I take dopamine drugs (adderall) and under certain conditions they make me feel like a fucking unicorn ready to jump to the moon
  • 1
@TeachMeCode yes, this is concerning to me. Wondering if it will come with a crash.
  • 1
mania is not fun for me ngl

been manic this whole time as well

I prefer the crash. at least I feel sane
  • 2
@jestdotty got up at 8:30 am this morning. By noon or 1 pm I was tarting to feel amazing. About 8:30 pm I have started to feel the sleep march as normal. Feeling the sleepy crash coming on is reassuring.

@jestdotty read up on any potential medication interactions with st johns wort. I found out after the fact. I also saw indications it could cause huge problems with people on SSRIs or people with schizophrenia while I was looking around.

So don't do what I need and then find out. Talk to a doctor is probably best action first.

@YourMom sounds like a typical amphetamine experience, you feel great then BOOM but tbh you crash if you went overboard (I know the wort isn’t an amphetamine but it seems to have similar effects on dopamine). All I can say is bring this up with your doc, can’t believe he wanted you on something that messes with your liver this badly might as well prescribe a daily pint of whiskey
  • 1
yeah St John's wort makes recycling of neurotransmitters slower which increases both dopamine and serotonin

increase of dopamine is how ADHD meds work

and increase of dopamine is what causes mania and eventually psychosis

Like who is going to see their doctor about a coma?

    Sleepwalkers
