So, I tried to rewrite my username in a different case.

    Tags work regardless of case. Usernames are case-insensitive.

    For example.
    @Floydian
    @floydian
    @fLoYdIaN

    @RememberMe I know that. I need to change the way it's displayed in my profile.

    @RememberMe wifi and WiFi are the exact same thing, technically. So my edit should have worked. Bug.

    @wifi It makes sense that you can't change it to something of the same value.

    But I agree that it should still save even if they're the same. Maybe they should change the check to only check the usernames of accounts other than the current user.

    @MrWouter if you change your username you won't be able to change it again for 6 months.

    Maybe dfox could help you out if you want to tag him.

    @nathan815 Lol no it doesn't make sense.
    Yes, excluding the current user in queries like this is the proper thing to do. It works on any other app e.g twitter.

    @wifi Hello, this problem has addressed before
    @wifi and @WiFi is exactly the same name
    This means you can't change how the username is shown, since the username isn't case-sensitive
    You can contact the developer to change manually but there is a high possibility he won't do it for you
    If you really want to change it, you need to pass a grace period of 6 months
    1. Change current account username to anything random (you will use this for 6 months)
    2. Create a new account and name it WiFi
    3. After 6 months, do it the opposite
    OR
    since your account point is low, delete the current account and register again with the name WiFi
    Have a good day!
