I left the military to become a dev. With no degree and no professional experience. It's safe to say they thought I was crazy. But now it's safe to say they are proud of me.

    What do military devs do? 😨

    @TheSommer I can't read.

    @TheSommer There are no Military devs :( I was an Aviation Engineer. I dev'd in my free time.

    @r3eezy I served in the artillery as an OP. Isn't it funny how no one ever expects a Dev to be a veteran. Very different worlds, I wouldn't go round comparing them thought.

    @JavaRules you served in artillery as an "OP", you where an observation point? Said the Marine Artillery Gunner.

    @punksgt yeah, seemed highly questionable to me...

    @punksgt British army observers are called "OP's" for short. Just as the gun line guys were called the "guns" referring to the people. It's Observation Post over here not point. What were you in?

    @JavaRules I will certainly continue to compare them... there is nothing wrong with healthy conversation about the Veteran community.

    @r3eezy Indeed nothing wrong with that. But as I stated, "I" wouldn't, as I've kept in close contact with my old army mates. They feel like brothers to me, I'm sorry you don't feel the same way when you left in regards to your veteran community.

    @JavaRules Who said I don't feel the same way... that's a pretty broad assumption. With that being said. This is a great example of what I meant about the Veteran community.

    @r3eezy You literally said they thought you were crazy. But on my side, I had a leaving Do (party). So, I said sorry about that.
    And due to the fact that it's impossible to convey tone with text. Rest assured I'm just talking with you in a normal manner. Hopefully nothing is highly questionable anymore for you.

    @JavaRules ..... you obviously missed the point of the "weekly rant". Read the topic. Then read my rant again. Maybe it will help you understand...

    @r3eezy Don't worry I get it, just have a healthy conversation and sharing my opinion and experiences.

    @JavaRules k. Cool story. Thanks for stomping all over my rant without even reading the topic.

    @JavaRules Marine Corps. We called called them "FO", (Forward Observers), we called the gun line, "Gun rocks", or "cannon cockers". I was in the FDC (Fire Direction Control or Fresh Donuts Coffee)
