PacRat39586yanyone have success using Arch ARM on an rpi? it looks interesting, and im not confident enough in my understanding of compilation to go gentoo :0
-
I tried arch on rpi pretty much as soon as it came out and it was a pretty subpar experience. Raspbian is built for the device, it runs the best imo.
-
You are better of going for Raspbian Lite and installing the desktop environment later on. You can start it with startx when you need it, which saves a ton of RAM.

olback107986yI designed a barcode scanner hat for the RPI. Components have arrived, waiting for the PCBs from JLCPCB.
Fun fact: The Raspberry Pi is the best selling PC of all time :) -
@zankar it may be using stretch instead of cover but yeah I am too lazy to lookup but never to code.
