Pretty soon we'll have more platforms than users using them. Everyone will sit alone in their chatrooms talking to themselves.

my.devplace is not an alternative for snek. Snek is chat. Devplace is a devrant alternative for people that like to be able to upload pictures and a community with almost daily updates. At this moment, I think it has more features than davrant even while creating rants is still the center of functionality.

@AlgoRythm sounds like you never tried those places. None of them have Ai in it. Only snek had Ai bots which was nice because they were premium bots. But snek and devrant contain the same amount of AI.

I definitely agree there is fragmentation even though you see you need critical mass in the target group to stay relevant.

DevRant is the place where people branch off of to, to go to the platforms I listed out. You can check these platforms and you will find that all people there originated from here.

What retoor is doing now, asking people to jump to these platforms, is fine for this one. If she tried to do this on let's say Discord, she'd get thrown out of servers.

@12bitfloat sure, but in this situation "the guy" is needed. Goal is to preserve the community by giving a new club house that is maintained well. An issue is that devRant has a very loyal community that it by now not diserves anymore.
