The last Windows update has fucked up the positions of the files on my desktop.

At this point I‘m not even mad. Also not disappointed anymore. We are past that.

Now it’s more of a confirmation of the ever declining quality of MS products.

Well, it's not their fault you're suffering germanism and autism. Haha, you use windows?

I don't know how many times I've had my shortcuts in Quick Launch rearrange by themselves from custom sorting to name-based one. Finally, I added numbers in front of their names so if Windows decides to rearrange them yet again, I don't give a fuck.

...Desktop icons can be somewhat harder to tame.

Unfortunately, yes. The quality of Windows has gone downhill, from what I've seen.

@Kibama I don’t know and I‘m too lazy to look up how I can look it up.

I'm still mad about the Start menu. In 10 you could freely rearrange things and leave empty spots if you can't fill everything; now, if you want to have something stay in the upper right corner, you have to have an exact number of things before it (and if you dare to add one more, it will shift to the first place in the next row).

If i'm on Windows I use Windows Server as my client os, the default win os is full of ads, emoticons etc...

btw never update a win os, you can disable that shit.

I'm only on Windows for work. I hate it too, but I've been on tiling windows managers on Linux so long I don't care about the desktop or the start menu.

GlazeWM plus FlowLauncher don't get me on parity with i3+rofi, but they make Windows slightly less terrible. Glaze isn't great through ... need to try some of the other ones like Whim.
