My god, using a VM on a 4k monitor is fucking nuts. The cursor's a fucking speck and the text is tiny as well. Jesus, XP is impossible to use like that!

    windows xp isn't optimzed for high pixel density. At that time 1600x1200 was luxerious, 1200x1024 and 1024x800 was the most common resolution. On death ray catode monitor.

    God, why are you installing XP?
    What the fuck?
    IE6 doesn’t work ANYWHERE anymore.

    @Parzi

    No I'm thinking not just games, but some applications, like ones for connecting to your USB device, just don't work on anything much above XP.

    So if you have an old device (Not even that old..) and you need to reflash it for example, you may well find, only a bare metal XP install will do the job.

    @Nanos Or older hardware that's still useful but too expensive to replace. I have a composite/coax capture card that's really fucking good, but it's PCI and XP's the latest with drivers.

    QHD is enough for me as I too find 4k to small on anything that doesnt upscale text.

    I'm looking forward to writing some 4K applications, though I was hearing the other day that some 4K screens are not true 100% user selectable pixelled 4k !

    That the pixels next to each other will change colour on their own, and are not individually selectable !

    Is that true ?
