I'm setting up an project at work. Takes me until now 2 days and there are dozens of undocumented things I couldn't know.

It's an total brainfuck of product. Most of it could be automated and be less error prone.

How can people do that? Don't they hate to do it too? I cannot understand why they didn't change anything there for years.

1. Because we’re lazy bastards
2. Project setup got no value for manager
3. To tired after going trough that process to improve something and it’s end of day ( I do it tomorrow - see point 1. )
4. You only do it once
5. “But it works eventually right ?”
6. No time so I waste more time
7. It’s boring

I can write all day.
Yeah that sucks but somebody got to do it first. Doing something for the first time is almost never perfect.
