My version would be :
Boss - How much time do you need to build this feature?
Me - Two weeks.
Boss - Okay you have 20mins. -
splintor417yI got that this week. I said 150 dollars an hour and estimated 20 hours. "ok so is 650 enough instead?"
-
@web-artisan okay, my hourly rate, multipled by your project's cost in man hours, divided by the difference between reality and your perception of and we get: okay. Sounds about right. here is: an orgami napkin of a wire frame for your website.

Me: gives quote for 10k
Indian freelancer: gives quote for $100 to achieve the same thing.
Me: tell client that it isn't possible to do the job for $100
Client: says he's going with the $100 anyway
.....4 weeks later
Client contacts me: my freelancer bailed and never finished my job, can you finish it?
Me: No, that's what happens when you grossly underpay.
Meanwhile.....
Indian freelancer: completely underquotes another 8 jobs and gets them all to only bail on them in a couple weeks time. -
DonMcCoy5677y@doz87 ππππ.
You made my day with this statement.
This is my exact agony everytime with indians, they should really make a fucking law in India to prohibit the freelancer to quote at this low rates.π
The real idea is that they are fucking themselves and us together, because they are lowering the whole rate of whole damn freelancing work. -
aikone5767yI would still take that money. create an empty index.html and say that the project costs will definitely overrun π

Client: "But I can get an app just like the one I want on the app store for 99 cents. Why would I pay you for this?"
