He didn't even try it. No one tried it.

I couldn't find a single video with him saying that, maybe someone just made that up and other sites latched onto it as if it was credible? I'm not saying he didn't say that, just haven't been able to find any actual proof.

@MrCSharp and I just want to point out, they are claiming the rtx 2080 is better for the money, at the moment yes but did they not notice the MASSIVE performance and power management jump AMD just made in a single generation?

Like yes Vega 7 is expensive compared but Vega 7 compared to Vega 64 is night and day difference, the 2080 and 1080 is eh, yeah it's faster I guess

@hexc It was in some sort of a press event in CES with a small group of reporters. Don't think anyone captured it on video.

@MrCSharp that's what I figured, but what's not to say someone took what he said out of context than other reporters took that even more out of context by wanting to sensationalize their headlines and make them more click-baity that shit happens all the time. 😕

@hexc will that's main steam media for you.

I agree, don't trust everything you read on the media nowadays.

@MrCSharp I've watched the Nvidia/AMD press conferences for years now and it just doesn't seem in character for him to say something like that... I mean I could be wrong, but I don't know, I just don't see it. At least in the way the articles make it sound.

@lxmcf what is your comment even supposed to mean? You agree that 2080 is better value and the single generation jump is by going from 14nm to 7nm. It's not like they are getting 4nm next year.

AMD shouldn't use nvidia name and claim its faster than 2080..it deserved it

@sSam I mean the performance jump from AMD is massive compared to the rtx line
