Dammit Larry, this is why we can’t have nice things.

False, users don't know the processes. If the program supports the right processes user should follow the program to work more efficient.

Yeah, devs totally like to make completely unusable, fucked up products if left to their own decisions. Mostly because they don't have the slightest idea about how users think, and don't even care.

Rule #1 of software ergonomics. If your user base does not properly adjust to your software or is unable to use it at all, it is never their fault as it is always yours.

Sure you can say, "users are stupid" and they often are. However they also always have been and you are then an idiot for designing a system and not accounting for that fact.

I always found it interesting that this is applicable for a lot of real world scenarios as well.

There should not be a conflict between users and a system. In the end each systems maintainer will need to be changed hence the natuaral conclusion is that we need to devise systems which a user (Goverment, Society, private persons, Other Programs/AI etc,) can adapt to his/hers/its benefit keeping the overall benefit of all others in check. This requires from the user the ability to understand and take control of the system and for the system to be open and as easily understood as possible. PS:Thats why I hate people who value education only in terms of monetary value. As this is the basis for the future with computers

I think that one way or another you need to properly interact with technology.
