Even 12 gigs of ram and a i5 cpu cannot satisfy the greed of google chrome.

    Couple of decades ago most work was done in various offline apps or programs. Today a whole lot of it is done online in browser...

    Blaming Chrome when its processes can be scaled from one runtime to infinity is like saying one bathroom is not enough for your building - but is it a shed or is it an office complex? Perhaps a lot of shit is going through it...

    @ananaszjoe but a modern app will render a virtual Dom with JavaScript. Then it's just the API calls that will use your connection.

    My point was, people do most stuff in browsers, so naturally they'll take up a lot of resources

    Huh? Even on my old surface with 4gb of ram it runs without issues.
