What is your definition of block?
Alice blocks Bob:
From Bob’s standpoint does Alice cease to exist?
What happens when Alice comments on Fred’s post, can Bob see that? What about Fred’s reply to Alice’s comment?
Does Alice loose ++ if Bob has ++’d her post prior to block?

And those are just the cases I can think of off the top of my head?

@bkwilliams It can be simple as "Block this users rant" or even "Hide this users rant from my feed". It doesn't have to be completely blocking users existence.

@hack “ignore” might be a better functional descriptor.
