Until crypto-currencies stabilize, they are not useful for day to day living. The last thing I want is to wake up one morning, and my checking account has lost 50% of it's value when the rent is due.

Just saw a pizza place today, and prominently displayed on the door was a sign, "Sorry, we do not accept cash at this restaurant." You can pay with card or phone.
