When I first saw the .dev TLS was $200 are some odd dollars I was sad. But, that was early access as now they are cheap. Yay!

@FrodoSwaggins It's to my understanding that the .dev TLD is owned by Google, so I feel good trusting it. I understand where you're coming from though.

Tell me, why bother with useless tlds?
.dev is just a forced HSTS domain.

And like, Because that is super hard to implement..........

@C0D4 Why not? I could care less about the value of my domain so long as I'm not selling it.

I don't understand the negative responses here. I see it like this. By opening up more possibilities to define your structure, you create more readability if you make use of this. Now think 100 years down the road. There will be a lot of recycling, and a lot of IoT stuff.
    Everything will have a website.
I also think that a fitting tld is good practice for building a well routed website

Example. What are people more likely to remember if they have to type it from memory?

    mooncoffeeshopseattle.com/menu?type=newest&specials=true&promocode=k79289274

    vs

    moon.coffee/specials

Imo picking a good tld is just as important as building a clean rest routing syntax.

@C0D4 @FrodoSwaggins I'd just like to see your guys reflection on this before you leave the thread.
