So a client wanted me to work on a 6 month project for just 300$. Some people really need to learn the value of time and effort

    300$ per hour or per day? That's a lot of money, if you think about it! 😝😝

    @Fantomias He was talking about 300$ for the whole 6 months.. definitely not a good deal

    @gitpush well, it was for the entire thing. Not per day.

    “But I already pay $500/year for [insert bloated and oversold GoDaddy hosting plan here]. Why would I pay $6,000+ for the website?! I can use the GoDaddy web builder or WordPress for freeeeeeee!”

    @akharote1 I know was joking, at least make it 300$ per month which is still too few. But no 300 for six months :\

    @gitpush of course.. I decided not to go with the offer and work on personal projects instead. Much better!

    @akharote1 and less stressful lol

    Do it in a week, then charge 200 for every extra week.

    @Nanos Agreed! Although there was no point wasting time and effort on something which hardly has any benefits. I would rather work on personal projects or other ones which would pay enough for the efforts put in.

    @Nanos Just 300$ for a project that takes more than a month is low rate paying. The OP will starve unless he finds another project to work in parallel, which will deteriorate the code quality of both projects..

    Working 116 hours per week will just fuck out up. You will starve, not because of the money, but due to work.

    Normal humans have little understanding of the work required. Most just see the result of years of technology building upon itself, integrating more and more over time and have no idea of the work involved or the value.

    I've never been afraid to walk away from a bad deal. The trick, though, is to get back in touch later and inquire how that shit is going for that low ass price

    6m, then even 6K wouldn't suffice.

    @Nanos yes and no, one thing if this is opportunity where you can grow and lead and be proud of your input, then it might be worth it. If this is something that you end up just being a monkey at, following and executing stupid requests from client then nope...

    The client I’m working for currently is paying $32.000 for a 6 week project....... And that’s even a cheap price compared to the price many other companies are charging

    You're not feeding yourself exposure then? It's a staple of the freelancers diet.
