somebody7338yWelk, just the syntax is different, actually maybe XML is more powerful, but in general it is just a tiny difference :-)

Grumpy28878yWell, they're different means to the same end, but JSON is an obvious, no-nonsense solution that seems to be designed by a programmer, whereas XML seems to be designed by an EU committee with input from inbred Brussels bureaucrats, bean counters and all paper pushers from the inner circle of redundancy hell.

Well, depends on the context. If you sit in a network class then yes, JSON and XML are both stuff that can transport data through a network. If you're in a data structures class though you should probably think about hitting your prof in the face repeatedly until betterment is visible.

Ankan998yRip, and also do not forget to prepare for exam where you have to write by hand, I recommend a pen which is erasable...
And then my lecturer said JSON and XML are the same thing.
