You ever open some code that was committed a few years ago by an employee long gone and it's so shit you have to get up and go outside to take a deep breath of fresh air?

    Yeah it was such shit code and I hate it SO MU...

    That's stressful... It's getting worse when you are in a tight schedule and your manager doesn't understand risks of leaving this code untouched...

    I once opened such code. It had been written 10 years before by a person who managed to become the CTO. At least he didn’t write code any longer at that time.
