If you plan on using Apache Kafka for whatever:
Don't do it. You are on the gates of hell.

If you are using Apache Kafka:
I feel sorry for you.

If you decided not to use Apache Kafka:
You chose wisely.

So WHY is it that bad?
I'm about to build a kafka cluster in one of the apps, it would be nice to hear why shouldn't I before I'm elbows-deep-in

Our sub product is using this Kafka but i was not allocated to it. But have a nice story about it. One developer was talking about it loud and we were heard it as "Kakka" . Kakka ( කක්ක ) is the sinhalese (my mother language ) word for poop 💩 . So we cannot stop laughing on it

Been using kafka cluster for a year and had no problems with it so far.

What were you using it for?

I'd like to know about positive experiences. I use confluent.cloud kafka + spring and the experience debugging stuff is shit. After being used to nice tools I am back to CLI's with horrible error messages and readability is shit...shit shit shit
