I want to build a industry grade recommendation system. Total users are 1M and total items are more than 100M. Conversion events are item consumption in form of view time and view.
Can you suggest me how to build or some step by step tutorial to build full fledged recommendation system

"industry grade recommendation systems" is a really really hard topic, you need a team of experts and a lot of resources for that. Would definitely not recommend (pun intended) doing it alone.

Probably some prebuilt ones around that you can shovel onto your project though, time to use the search engine.

Well sure if your scenario is simple and scalability is the only issue then maybe yeah, but it still think you should try a prebuilt one first.

There's a reason even large companies with a ton of resources are struggling with this. It's (currently) very hard to impossible to solve efficiently for large datasets.
