My Dell Precision M4700 is going to complete 6 years of faultless service, still my main workstation.

It arrived with 3rd gen core i7, 8gb RAM and 750gb 7200rpm hard drive with Windows 7. It gradually transformed into 32gb RAM, 3tb of ssd and Ubuntu 18.04. This dude still runs for days without a problem.

Genuine respect!!

p.s.: If I have to change my next machine, it would be "Dell Precision 7730".

    1. awesome machine. I got my old job to buy me one for work, and still have my personal old one upstairs, from 2010.
    2. battery life suck!
    3. it is a 5 ton latop, with its power supply dongle. I had to hire a sherpa to help me carry iy.

I've got a Dell Inspiron series (2 in 1) and I love it. Slim, low weight, comfortable keyboard (unfortunately without backlit) and a beautiful screen. The downside: Dell limited the specs of the machine and cannot be upgraded. 4GB RAM it's the max allowed and it doesn't detect all SSD in the market (most of them doesn't work).

Hope you don’t need an docking/eport? The thunderbolt TB18-docking sucks and causes a lot of trouble with 7530/7730! Countless bios-updates and TB18-firmwares released in a short period of time...
