    But when my editor helpfully adds a closing brace, but doesn't give me an easy way to get to the goddamn end of the line to add that full stop I lose my shit

    @epse what language requires a full stop after brace?

    @asgs erlang, its the statement terminator (like a semicolon in C, semicolons have another function). Also even more often a comma

    I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with phpstorm, it’s good when it does stuff you want it to do, but doesn’t understand when you want to wrap an existing element in a new element
