    Every damned time I see a meme like this i cry :( and all I get to use to wipe these tears away is all the money this wonderful language is giving me on the daily.

    @AleCx04 😅 Can't argue with that.

    @AleCx04 Jokes aside, I love PHP but sometimes I just want strangle it and scream "WHY WON'T YOU WORK, YOU WORKED 2MIN AGO."

    @cptstickypants @Root it does get weird af sometimes. But of all the crazy shit we have to know about web development I find myself blessing how simple php gets to be.

    @AleCx04 That's true, I've tried multiple times to go over to Node.js but everytime I have to install packages for everything, PHP just works out of the box.

    Like who the fuck wants an express server and not cookies, why is that needed as seperate package?

    @cptstickypants Everything javascript is a mess. No argument there. But Rails? Bloody simple, and Ruby is bliss.

    @Root Never gotten around to try Ruby on rails, anything got to better than javascript tho.

    @Root Ruby is indeed nice. Not even gonna try and deny that.
    I am still wired to prefer {} languages. And i find it easier to parse large structures of php code. I work mainly with Java and PHP, and they both have nigh identical object models.

    A lot of the times all I need is a simple php script, i don't need a full fledged framework, in which if I do I would still prefer Symfony over Rails.

    I would love to work on Rails again, if anything for the money. I make waaay more on the php side tho, and without being attached to one framework. Still really really like Rails.

    @AleCx04 Fair. Rails is very heavy and often more than what a project needs. Symfony is similarly heavy though, isn't it? Then again if you're already very used to PHP, the choice makes sense.

    I'm just sad that Ruby only has one real framework. 🙁

    Edit: I also love {} languages haha. But were I to go back to one of them, it'd be C++.

    It is similarly heavy, yes. It can be stripped down from a lot of stuff just like with Rails i.e generating an api like peojefr instead of a full site application.

    And one of the things that i actually love about rails is that its king for its language. Php has a heckload of frameworks and i greatly disliked that for a while, kinda still do.

    @RustyCookie can I ask where are you from?

    @RustyCookie just curious to know in which country PHP developers are paid 100K

    @RustyCookie 😂

    @cptstickypants well not every page needs cookies

    As for PHP, everything works out of the box yea but it sort of works. Everything's a double claw hammer, you could hit a nail with it sideways I guess

    @Ganofins You can make 100k with any language, same as a one legged man can run a marathon. Doesn't mean you should cut your leg off tho
