Has anyone noticed that safari seems to be smoother and faster than chrome now.

    Well, it does not take that much nowadays. Allocating all that memory takes time after all.

    I'd have to use any of them to be able to notice.

    That’s the second reason to use Safari then.

    @lastNick what is the first reason? It lacks so much features compared to firefox and chromium.

    @Codex404 yes, but if I just want to do Google search it seems to be faster and smoother

    Afraid not. Safari is not available on anything but a Mac.

    @rEaL-jAsE it was when it was originally released. The main competitors had become bloated and slow by feature creep and now it is chrome that has become overly bloated.

    Time to reset I think and ship a chrome lite without all the crap bolted on.

    @Codex404 Keychain integration.

    @rEaL-jAsE I think the lite version I suggested could be done.

    Have the core browser with the rendering engine, is implementation etc and have anything else as extensions.

    For example who other than web developers need the web inspector? That just adds bloat and ran usage for everyone and is only really used by a relatively small percentage.
