Someone just told me that I have a 'strong LinkedIn network'

    @alexbrooklyn @redman Indeed, it's like saying you are really sociable if you have over 500 friends on FaceBook... even if >90% of them are bots

    @redman Well, I get emails every week from LinkedIn asking to add people based on mutual connections. If I accepted them all, I'd be over 200 now. Just how their algorithm works, I suppose. Still, knowing your connections and communicating is much better. It's not like having over 100 connections will get you, say, free swag ;)

    There's this one (relatively) old person who sends me an invite every year roughly the same day. She got my email as I asked something about some stuff she was selling. Apparently LinkedIn offers me as a possibly known person to her.

    @redman but with linked in, well most people get jobs through acquaintances not friends
