Hey devs, programmers, etc... What was your first (dev-related) job, and what do you do now?

Same

First: sysadmin (self-taught)
Then I started studying software development
Now: Software Developer (as a consultant)

First dev related job: Data entry for small ecommerce site.

Now (10 years later) full stack dev + sysadmin with several ecommerce sites with system integrations + Salesforce development.

Ah how the days have changed...

Started working as Android developer in a startup, left that company within 6 months. Company was not that employee friendly and don't know what software development is all about. After that I started preparing for Master of computer applications (Done some freelancing stuff alongside, been a mentor for juniors from previous college). Given enterance exam for MCA and got good rank. Now hoping to get a good college.

First money I earned was when in elementary school for simple websites for parents friends hosted on free servers and for fixing computers for small local companies, it was in 90s.

Now I am 3rd party contractor making mass document sending application and digitalizing some corporate. I do it cause I can work from home and job is not annoying, takes me little to no time and got paid for full time.
Besides that I make prototypes of apps that some time might be one product.

First job: Game development

Current job: Game development

Different companies, different countries even, but yeah, doing what I like :D

Started as an ASP.NET MVC dev in C# working full stack for a company.

Yeaaaars later I work as a programmer analyst.

I fucking love it.
