But of course open source software isn't profitable right? You can never make any money with OSS! It's against capitalism!!! How can you possibly make any money at all from OSS?! It's never been done! ... Well as long as you ignore:

Microsoft
Google
Facebook
Oracle
IBM
Redhat
Canonical
Offensive Security
Mozilla
Adobe
Amazon
(And a trillion others)

I think we need to do a better job of explaining how "open source" works...

@M1sf3t I hate it as much as you do believe me *shivers in ughhh* but they are THE leading contributors on GitHub, not to mention the now owners of GitHub and calc and cmd are open source now.

I don't like it either, but as far as individual companies go, they are doing a decent job at this "posterboy for OSS" thing they're going for.
