Don't worry you have "transitive relation". If your wife knows bride then you are pretty much related to everyone.

As for the wedding, you can try talking to ppl. You can even joke with them "I dont know what im doing here". Keep your eyes open and find other people that seem to be awkwardly looking around and talking, there must be some people in a similar situation as you.
