    Because they can charge more if they do so, duhh

    Not but fr a lotta veggie soups I've had before usually contain beef. One had chicken in it.

    Maybe there's a chicken vegetable soup in their line of products too.

    Well, it depends on the region you are in. At least in Franconia this happens a lot.

    Because oftentimes you will find either bacon in it, or it is made with broth made from meat.
